PHOTOS & VIDEO: 2011 Capital Pride LGBT Parade in Washington DC
Here they are, photos and a video I took and recorded yesterday during the 2011 Capital Pride LGBT Parade in Washington, DC. It was a lot of fun!
This year I focused on people. These images are really good.
People
In this video appear LGBT activist and Army veteran Dan Choi, a couple of siblings (gay & straight), journalist and DC activist Pete Tucker of TheFightBack, a bi-national gay couple speaking about immigration, several Latino gay men who speak about being gay and Latino, and a group of college students.

It was a great day, I felt that this year the parade was more like a community oriented celebration, it was a huge block party. I saw lots of college students and curious people. Maybe this ‘gay’ parade is not as gay as it used to, times are changing. Anyhow, had an awesome time.

Great captures Carlos! I was in the parade and I am wondering if you might have gotten any pics of my date and me on our motorcycle in the Dykes on Bikes contingent? Can you contact me via email if you did?
ka it br1@ yahoo. com minus the spaces of course. Thanks.

Next year Dave, don’t forget. It was lots of fun. I think the folks at Capitol Pride http://www.capitalpride.org/ should advertise more this parade in all the community media, including bloggers.
